Buildagon ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Local AI (the "App") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information. By using Local AI, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. Local AI is a privacy-first, fully local AI chat application designed to process all AI operations on your device. We believe your data should stay on your device.
Data We Collect
Information You Provide: - Conversations: Chat messages and conversation history you create within the App - Attachments: Images, documents, and files you choose to attach to conversations - Settings: App preferences, theme choices, and configuration options - Security Data: PIN codes and biometric authentication data (stored securely) Automatically Collected Information: - Device Information: Basic device information for compatibility (e.g., device type, operating system version) - App Usage Data: Non-personal usage statistics for improving the App (note: we do not currently collect analytics or tracking data) Information We Do NOT Collect: - We do NOT collect your location data - We do NOT track your browsing history - We do NOT use analytics or tracking services - We do NOT collect personal identifiers beyond what you explicitly provide - We do NOT sell your data to third parties
Data Storage
Local Storage Only: All data collected by Local AI is stored locally on your device. We do not use cloud storage for your conversations, messages, or personal data. - Conversations and Messages: Stored in a local database (Isar) on your device - Settings: Stored locally using Hive storage - Security Data: Encrypted and stored in secure device storage - AI Models: Downloaded AI models are stored locally on your device No Cloud Processing: All AI processing happens on your device. Your messages are never sent to external servers for AI processing. The App uses local AI models to generate responses entirely offline.
How We Use Your Data
We use your data solely to: - Provide and improve the App's functionality - Enable AI chat features and conversation management - Store your conversations and settings for your convenience - Secure your data with PIN/biometric authentication - Enable file attachments and document processing We do not use your data for advertising, marketing, or any purpose unrelated to providing the App's core functionality.
External Services
AI Model Downloads: Local AI downloads AI models from Hugging Face (a third-party model repository) to enable AI functionality on your device. These downloads are: - Made over secure HTTPS connections - Used only to obtain AI model files (not user data) - Stored locally on your device after download - Not associated with any personal information No Other External Services: We do not use any other third-party services that access your personal data. We do not integrate with: - Analytics platforms - Advertising networks - Cloud AI services - Social media platforms - Data brokers
Permissions
Local AI may request the following permissions to function properly: iOS Permissions: - Photo Library Access: To allow you to select images and documents to share with your AI assistant Android Permissions: - Internet Access: To download AI models from Hugging Face (required for initial model setup) - Notifications: To provide app notifications (optional) - Vibration: For haptic feedback (optional) macOS Permissions: - No special permissions required beyond standard app access We only request permissions that are necessary for the App's functionality. You can revoke these permissions at any time through your device settings.
Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data: - Local Encryption: Sensitive data is encrypted using secure device storage - PIN/Biometric Protection: Optional PIN and biometric authentication to secure the App - Secure Storage: Security data is stored using the device's secure storage mechanisms - No External Transmission: Your data is never transmitted to external servers (except for model downloads) - Regular Updates: We regularly update the App to address security vulnerabilities Despite these measures, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights

Data Retention
We retain your data on your device until you choose to delete it. Since all data is stored locally, you have full control over when and how your data is deleted. We do not retain copies of your data on our servers.
Children's Privacy
Local AI is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hi@buildagon.com, and we will delete such information.
International Data Transfers
Since all data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to external servers (except for AI model downloads), there are no international data transfers of your personal information. Your data remains on your device at all times.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
